java ee - Dynamic scaling with SimpleMessageListenerContainer -


i looking implement jms message consumers using spring wrappers.

after reading jms documentation seems me way go ahead adopt asynchronous message delivery model, https://docs.oracle.com/cd/e19798-01/821-1841/bnceh/index.html jms provider invoke listener message delivery instead polling.

however simplemessagelistenercontainer, spring wrapper implements asynchronous message delivery model doesn't seem support dynamic scaling of listener instances.

defaultmessagelistenercontainer, spring wrapper implements synchronous message delivery model seems support dynamic scaling.

i wish understand this. can't seem find explanation in either spring or jms documents.
