USB Linux distro using only initrd.gz -


i working on small linux distro designed boot off android phone using drivedroid. boot time must minimal, , distro needs loaded ram phone can disconnected. don't need xorg or more basic system utilities , python, i'm curious if possible put in initrd.gz file (no filesystem.squashfs or cloop file). there pitfalls or issues may come should aware of? thank input have.
