excel - If two range criteria are met, copy a third cell and paste it to another sheet -


i have sheet called "scores" have column d , j values 1-9 in both columns.

in same sheet have column corresponding name row (i.e andrew).

what need matrix 3 possible ranges, 1-3, 4-6 , 7-9.

  • if d within 1-3, , simultaneously j 1-3, column row go specific range of cells in sheet called "box",

  • if d 1-3 , simultaneously j 4-6, column row go range of cells in "box",

  • if d 1-3 , simultaneously j 7-9 go range of cells in "box".

  • the same thought process applies different ranges (i.e d.3-5 j.1-3, , on)

i updated google sheets in-place. in gs, kind of job straightforward query().

=query(scores!$a:$j, "select d >= 7 , d <= 9 , j >= 7 , j <= 9", 0)

maybe post excel or vba answer.
