AdMob In House Ad eCPM Order -

i'm little confused on matter of displaying own in house ad's along side admob's ads use of setting ecpm values order of importance.

i running 1 house ad along admobs's network.

from faq , admob section i've come understanding how allocation work.

for example, set admob's ecpm $5.00 , in house ad $0.01, in case admob ad shown if it's value equal or exceeds $5.00. if doesn't, in house ad shown.

the issue i'm running particular setup no in house ads being allocated. find hard believe every ad admob able allocate has ecpm of $5.00. after few days not 1 in house ad allocated.

i thought may have done wrong in area of setup swapped ecpm values, admob equals $0.01 , in house ad equals $5.00. started receive in house ads following change in setup opposite of understood.

is understanding of backwards?

ideally, i'd show admob ads long ecpm value high enough, if ecpm not high enough, i'd fill ad space in house ad.

i've done reading on ecpm floor beta feature don't believe applies in situation. appreciated.

so after extensive experimenting, i've solved question.

the idea ecpm settings enter ecpm performance of each network, , mediation ordering highest ecpm network goes first, followed second highest, , forth. network set @ $5.00 got first look.

to results seeking needed check "optimize admob network" box in mediation settings, , set house ad's value reasonable, set $1.00. @ ad request time, admob run auction , automatically place in correct spot in mediation order based on value can in request. if admob can beat house ad's value, it'll serve. if not, house ad serve first.
