Google App Engine Data store vs. Firebase Database -
i'd ask pros , cons between choosing either firebase or objectify (convenience interface google's data store), storage backend.
i'd make general answer possible, in use case, have java desktop application, communicate jsps , servlets on google app engine, docker instances served on google container/compute engine (gce/gke). have implemented firebase authentication.
our data scheme simple, now. no complex class, nothing inner, nested, or not. bulk of want store json objects, flat in nature, possible.
we're debating whether store in firebase (json), or create pojo server-side, store in objectify. we've done both, , we've researched performance , scalability of these 2 services, can.
we deem both adequate our needs, expert opinion desirable, when considering long-term growth, inter-service convenience (e.g. gae gce , back) , costs. other sort of input, welcome too, of course.
