i wondering universal components there file in typical windows x64 architecture , elements of file stored in os vs file... know there file path, file contain path? file keep track of own length? simple .txt files contain more data corresponds text display?

further, when create file object in java, passing absolute file name, reference file path? how interact actual file on machine?
