r - RStudio converted code to jibberish, froze, and saved as gibberish -


i had small important r file have been working on few days.

i created , uploaded list of 1,000 id's sql server other day , today repeating process different type of id. save file , after having added couple of lines , saved, ran sqlsave() statement upload new id's.

rstudio promptly converted of code gibberish , froze (see screen shot).

after letting try finish several minutes closed rstudio , reopened it. automatically re-opened untitled text files had little working code, didn't open main code file.

when tried open informed file 55 megabytes , large open. indeed, confirmed 55mb , when opening in external text editor see same gibberish in screnshot.

is there hope of recovering code?

i suppose low memory must blame. object , command executing @ time not resource intensive, few minutes before did retrieve overly large dataframe sql server.

you overwrote code binary representation of objects line:

save.image('jive.r')

save.image saves r objects, not r script file. save script, can click "file->save". save objects, have put in different file.
